Hi, I’m Livi Robins.
A crazily busy mum, musician and
Sunny Coast local girl, who’s story behind the Boston Shaker Bar is short and sweet;
“I simply wanted to create a cocktail bar where people like you and
I could relax, speak easy and enjoy a quality drink, in a really nice environment that had great personalised service…
so I did!’
Ok… I’m opening a bar!
Have you ever been stuck in the rut & thought to yourself ‘Surely this isn’t what life is all about?” Me too!
Right, that’s it, I’m a middle aged mother of 2, working ridiculous unsustainable hours & in a purposeless job… something has to change.
Combining my love affair with my other passion as a musician, a decision was made to follow a dream.

Classy, stylish & sophisticated
I had a fairly good idea on what we needed in a local Sunshine Coast bar & to be honest…. I couldn’t find it anywhere at the time.
Whilst the Sunshine Coast has a relaxed layback beach feel about it, I also knew that we all love a touch of class - sophistication - quality & exquisite service.
So with that in mind & having a fascination with the Art Deco era, I found my self inspired by the prohibition era & that's how a themed atmosphere, with a cool vibe that sends people back in time, was born!
Prohibition - 1920-1933.
A nation wide constitutional ban of production, transportation, importation & sale of alcoholic beverages in the USA.
Old & new world service combined.
Now, I’m pretty sure you’ll agree, we love nothing more than a venue that allows us to hear each other speak, relax & enjoy a quality drink in a beautiful environment. It’s a given!
But what’s really missed today, is fun, authentic & professional old world service from genuine people who love what they do, are good at it & who are willing to share their years of bartending knowledge with you! It is a pre requisite of our team that we share our knowledge with you & love nothing more than to customise a drink that’s your own creation… just ask!
